Transmission of Traditional Culture through Digital Technology in Zimbabwe

This study addressed the transmission of traditional culture through digital technology gap in Zimbabwe using descriptive design. Purposive sampling was used to select headman and chief residents from Chundu Village who were interviewed as they are custodians traditions. Documented information revealed how values norms had been transmitted. The a questionnaire an interview schedule collect data field. In addition, observational gathered visits virtual museums archives. involved watching individuals interacted with social networking sites. Data analyzed thematic approach. concludes that played important role preservation Zimbabwean culture. Therefore, there is need improve internet accessibility country so people may manage access cultural heritage technologies. While experts have knowledge use current super high way hardware communication technologies, practitioners curators tradition know what vital has value terms their values. By combining experts, it makes very easy reach goal preserving technology.
